Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, since 1948 with more than 50,000 square feet of wholesale space, Solomon's Bargain Center specializes in the liquidation of surplus inventory, bankrupt stocks, freight salvage and distressed merchandise. The company buys and sells new merchandise from insurance companies, freight companies, government auctions, bankruptcies, and private auctions throughout the country. Founded in 1948 by George and Sara Solomon, the company is now operated by their two sons, Douglas and Ferris. 


In 1991, Solomon's Bargain Center received national media attention when the Solomons returned to the U.S. Navy two FA-18 fighter Computers discovered among merchandise from a bankrupt motor carrier.
